About Me

Hello! I spent my career in client service, first for a global public relations firm and then at a global technology consulting firm. While working in PR, I experienced many panic attacks and symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder, but I ignored them, as many people do. Later on, when I worked for the technology consulting firm, I hit a wall in 2015 and realized I needed professional help, leading to my diagnosis of severe anxiety and moderate depression. Two years later, tired of hiding this from my colleagues, family and friends, I shared my story publicly, which led to founding our first US Mental Health Allies group and later, a global role where I would implement mental health ally networks in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Professional Experience
As global mental health lead for three years, I was responsible for building mental health awareness and support through training, the latest digital wellness resources and managing our network of now more than 12,500 trained mental health allies across the globe.

Before I pursued my passion for advocating mental health awareness and wellness for everyone, everywhere, I worked in Marketing and Communications for seven years, supporting global Inclusion and Diversity priority topics including Pride, Gender, Disability, Race, Ethnicity and more.

At the global PR firm for eleven years, I developed skills managing and executing communications programs designed to drive strategic business objectives, influence key stakeholders and maintain a positive perception for clients in the government, financial and corporate sector. My expertise focused on implementing internal, external and digital strategies for several global corporations.

Personal Passions
In 2012 I took a nine-month sabbatical to travel through South America during my transition back to the U.S. from a two-year assignment in Singapore. I have now traveled to more than 26 cities in 15 countries across four continents.

A Texas native, I grew up all over the U.S. as a military brat and studied public relations and business foundations at The University of Texas at Austin. I live in Frisco, TX near Dallas with my son and two fur babies.
